Here’s where you come in:

As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for efficiently and effectively delivering psycho-social support and counseling services for women and girls in our Training Center in line with Safety House’s organizational strategies, policies and procedures.

Your role:

In addition to what has been mentioned previously, you are also responsible for:

1- Provide emotional and psycho-social support for women and girls in the center.

2- Treat vulnerable beneficiaries with respect, kindness and in a caring manner, always maintaining confidentiality and based on clients’ needs and wishes.

3- Develop action plans to address clients’ physical, emotional, psychological, social, protection, and financial needs and provide follow up to ensure needed services are provided.

4- Provide one-on-one emotional support counseling and guidance to clients and other vulnerable groups .

5- Provide referrals for clients in need of additional available specialized services.

6- Conduct awareness raising sessions to sensitize community members on issues and topics related to CP and GBV.

Your qualifications:

1- University Degree in social work, psychology or related field.

2- Knowledge of child protection, gender based violence and basic psychosocial and mental health issues.

3-Experience working with women and girls.

4- Non-judgmental attitude and ability to work with people from different backgrounds.

5- Good interpersonal and team building skills.

6-Strong negotiation skills essential with experience in conflict resolution desirable.

7- Experience working with other NGOs.

8- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

9- Fluency in English and Arabic.

10- Being proficient in Microsoft office.
